It's been an interesting month... I've done a lot of hours at work, into the evenings and over one weekend, which has cut into my sewing time. When I have been sewing I've been working on on going projects rather than finishing anything, but this does mean that a lot of the projects on my finish along list have progressed. I've also worked on four BOMs (and been tempted by a fifth).
Dear Jane: I've made 7 blocks so far and I am really stretching myself with this project - reverse applique, non hexagon EPP and really really tiny foundation piecing.
Rhubarb and Custard Quilt: this is one of my oldest WIPs,but I hadn't really mentioned it on my blog before,so I introduced it, and added to my finish along list. I've made pretty good progress with the sashing, but next step is some unpicking, so progress has slowed a little!
ET Phone Home block for the Emerald Challenge: the block is from Lynne and is foundation pieced. I chose to add a splash of orange to my emeralds.
Pac Mania: this is the one thing that came closest to a finish. Until I realised I didn't have any quilting needles. But it's basted ready.
EPP Hexagons: another ongoing project, but I have now finished adding hexagons and I am ready to start a lot of hand applique to attach this to the background fabric.
My own BOM: February's block is ready to go and I'll be sharing the pattern tomorrow.
Stash Bee blocks: yellow and grey this month - I'm really surprised how much I like the colour scheme!
Skill Builder BOM: two blocks completely pieced: Sound Wave and Magnum. I still need to quilt them. But the instructions only came out yesterday so there's still time!
Steph's quilt: blue, pink and purple batiks. I have now made half of the blocks - I just need to keep going!
Daniela's quilt - pretty chintzy fabrics - just like Stephs, I'm getting closer. Must keep going!
Lucky Stars BOM: I love foundation piecing at the moment and Elizabeth's stars are gorgeous. I can't wait to make the next one - the pattern is in my in box!
And finally the Gen X Sisters' BOM: I'm doing mine in red, black and white, and the next block was posted today.
Not bad really! I fly out to Budapest for two weeks on Sunday so things may go a bit quiet round here for a while, but I will still be sewing!
