Often, when I post things on Instagram, I use the hashtag #naptimesewing I have a confession to make. My daughter doesn't nap. Unless I'm cuddling her. And I can't use the sewing machine when I'm cuddling a baby. So my sewing time should be #bouncychairsewing - but that doesn't sound very comfortable, and it only happens on a full tummy and when she can watch what I'm doing (or the tv). There is a chance she'll be sewing before she can walk...
So Monday's #bouncychairsewing came in two parts: Sunday was one of those days when an email lands in your inbox and you just have to sew that. Now. That happened on Sunday with the June Lucky Star from Don't Call Me Betsy. I started it Sunday evening during #grandmatimesewing and finished it Monday during the above mentioned #bouncychairsewing. I should have picked a stronger orange but I'm not redoing it now!
And on Monday evening, in many fits and starts I completed my final bee blocks in the Siblings Together 2 bee. Amazingly this is the first time I've made any scrappy Trip blocks. This is the last month of the bee and my last bee commitment - I'm not signing up for anything new at the moment. I just need to finish off the quilt tops from my blocks.
At the weekend I also pulled a bunch of fabrics from my stash. At the time I didn't have a project in mind, but yesterday I started cutting and today I'm piecing cross blocks. Hoping it looks better and less washed out than the below photo by the time I'm finished!
