September seemed to last a very long time. We went to a wedding, we had a week being sick and not going out at all, and I did a fair amount of sewing.
I did some finishing: my Mini Medallion
My Post Card Quilt (but I haven't blogged about this one yet)
My mini version of Modern Alphabet
Swooning in a Crowd
Another buggy quilt
I been foundation piecing: some fishing boats
a Butterfly
I've got back to my Aspen Glow quilt, pushed on by the QAL
And made progress on the Essential Sampler Quilt for the first time in over a year
I made a Dinosaur for Mia
I've been doing some embroidery: a couple of mug rugs for my brother and his new wife...
...half a hydrangea (also for my brother and his new wife)...
....half a list-writing little girl...
...and some straightforward embroidery for a periodic table inspired mini quilt
I made a zippy pouch
and I pieced two mini quilts: Tear drops and whales
And I have a purpose for my Mix tape blocks - hopefully I can share more in the next few weeks.
I don't think I can deny that September was a pretty good month for sewing. Of course it was partly this productive because Mia was ill for nearly a week - it meant longer naps and no outings. But it also meant tears, many many loads of washing and not nearly so many beautiful smiles. Luckily we seem to be over it now!
