This time last week we were at a wedding. In London. Since them I've been to Budapest and back. I've been rather busy really!
The wedding was Archie and Laura's - we lived with Archie when we were at uni and our dog is named after him! The wedding was at a Catholic Church at Spanish Place and the reception was at the Institute of Directors on Pall Mall. It was a really lovely day - the bride looekd gorgeous, the company was good and the food was delicious. The drinks were also free - I don't drink - Michael drank for both of us!
We drove back from London on Sunday and I got straight in a taxi to Newcastle airport to take a flight to Budapest for work. I didn't get to see much of the city - here is the view from my hotel room - this was pretty much it! But I met some fantastic people and really enjoyed myself. I'm going back in November - hopefully I'll see a bit more of the city!
I took some hand stitching with me and got this far with a Ferris Wheel cushion. Still a bit to go then...
Came back on Thursday and I've been working on my Farmer's Wife Quilt since - I finished it yesterday evening! But haven't had a chance to photograph it properly yet (so just a sneak peek until tomorrow).
Today I've been at The Fat Quarters for a class. We are using a new Creative Grids Ruler and book by Pam and Nicky Lintott.
I've picked out greys through to blacks with fuschia pink
And got a few blocks completed....
And a lot more started....
Yesterday I also set my goals for the fourth quarter Finish Along - maybe just a bit overambitious! So I'd better go and make a start! Or maybe start on something else new - let's see how the evening takes me!
