So - how did I do on my Finish Along targets? No bad I think! You can find my original, somewhat ambitious, list at the start of the quarter here.
Farmer's Wife Quilt: FINISHED: I finished my Farmer's Wife Quilt just a couple of days after posting my list! It was so large that we photographed it at the local Church!
Mod Pop: FINISHED: I love this quilt. I got it finished in time for Christmas and gave it to my Husband's Aunt and Uncle.
Papillon Quilt II: FINISHED: just in time for Christmas (thank goodness) - it is a different one - I promise - the border is different!
Braided Chain Jelly Roll Quilt - FINISHED: this was my final finish of the year, just after Christmas. I wasn't sure about this quilt for most of its life, but the quilting, and perhaps more so, the scrappy binding, really brought this quilt to life and now I'm very pleased with it and happy to give it to its recipient.
Count down to Christmas: FINISHED: This second version of the quilt is much better than my first version - I nearly did a swap before I handed it over!
That makes 5 finishes. But, my list of non-finishes is also quite long....
Steph's Quilt: untouched - but backing bought. I think Steph needs a quilt at the moment, so need to prioritise this one!
Daniela's Quilt: untouched
Mum's batik wallhanging: I started again from scratch on this one and have a fully pieced back - just need to do a lot of bias applique!
Mario cushion: untouched: but all I need to do is add a border and make it into a cushion!
Joy Jelly Roll quilt: untouched - but I might pick up a backing in the new year's sale at my LQS
Hexie Tablerunner: I've basted a few more hexies, but didn't get any further.
Neon Stained: Untouched. But I have the backing and wadding, so I really should get this finished soon.
Pacmania: a few more curves completed, but nowhere near a finished quilt yet!
Pembroke Quilt: loads of progress but not quite finished. I worked on this while I was travelling on business, and again over Christmas, because hand sewing was more sociable. All of the EPP is complete, it's appliqued to a background, and I'm doing some embroidery.
This year's Finish Along has worked like magic for me - I have got so many quilts finished that might have otherwise remained WIPs, or even UFOs. So I will definitely be playing along next year!
Now to start working on my 2013 Q1 list - ready to link up with Leanne next week
