It's May Day! And that means that Summer is just around the corner!
What could be more English that Morris Dancing! Unfortunately I spent the day in the office, rather than out with the dancers... of course that means I have no photos of Morris Men myself - but please follow this link for the most amazing shot - I have been watching Morris Dancing my entire life and I have never seen such a fantastic scene as this!
But you've heard a lot about morris men these last couple of posts, so lets get back to some quilting! As it's the start of a new month, it's time to look at what I completed last month...
Yep - that was it - one baby quilt... it seems that I am currently the master of the Work in Progress
Strings and Hexies was a new project - quilt top by end of May?
Debs's quilt was a new project - finished quilt by end of June?
Mini Hexies and some tips for playing with them. I have plans for these. At the moment I don't have the time...
Lucky Stars for placemats. These are a wedding present. The wedding was in March.... the Lucky Stars BOM is ... behind.
Rhubarb and Custard: STILL a work in progress.
Double Wedding Ring... not a top priority but so pretty.
Swap cushion cover. Very nearly finished. Which is just as well, because I need to get it to the post office this week.
Skill Builder BOM - I was up to date on the piecing. But this month is EPP - so I'm back behind again!
My biggest achievement of the month was quilting Daniela's quilt! It's 116 x 116". I took it down to our local church last night to trim it and managed to get some photos of the whole thing.
I'm linking up today with Lynne for Fresh Sewing Day, Hopefully the next time I do this I will have some more finishes for you.
And as it's Wednesday, I'm linking up with Lee too -
but of course, today I'm not working on any of the WIPs above. No. I got tempted by a brand new foundation pattern from Kristy! It just needs binding and pinning up above my desk at work.
I'm off to check out some other blogs and try not to be inspired to start new projects again - though have you seen the Zakka Along (2.0) and the Tula Pink City Sampler QAL?
