Catching up [bees]

In June I got a little bit behind on my bee blocks....

First up this week was the first month in the Siblings Together Bee (2) - we're 12 ladies from the UK aiming to make 12 quilts to donate to Siblings Together next year. You can read much more information about Siblings Together here. Last year I donated a quilt, but this year I just didn't have time, and a bee sounded like a perfect solution for next year.

This was my first ever attempt at wonky stars. I've never been fond of them, but wow - these are so quick and easy to make and I think I really like them. All of the fabric in this block (apart from the white) is from my scrap bins! With more thought I might have made my stars a bit bigger....

And then in Stash Bee we were making Great Granny Squares - I made two blocks ad these were also great fun to make. The background fabric is Kona Butter, which is such a beautiful colour I am already adding more to my stash!

And I'm not sure if I've already shared my June Get Your Hex On Bee...

I really hope I get back on track and July blocks are made... in July!
