I've had a few recent finishes - mostly smaller pieces and mostly not on my list to finish this year (because I've only just started them!) - lots and lots of pouches! Here's a round up...
Three pouches I made for the kids for our holiday - all are the Seamingly Sane Pouch pattern, but I used the pattern add-on to adjust the sizes and customised with some straps and in one case, a pocket.
These three pouches are made for our work Yubikeys when we travel to protect them - it's a slightly adjusted Aneela Hooey pattern - the peas are an inside joke! I knew I had pea fabric for a reason!
A couple more Seamingly Sane pouches - the smaller one was a birthday present for my Dad, and the floral one was for me to protect my diary when I travel.
Seven pouches made entirely from my scraps to hold EPP pieces pre sewing! This is the Peekapouch pattern by Sweet Cinnamon Roses.
This is the Not So Little Zippy Pouch by Fabric and Flowers. The pattern is a bit of a challenge, but this was the second one I made and it went together much better than the first.
The complexity comes from the interior - look at all those lovely pockets! This was a birthday present for my mother-in-law.
More pouches - a set of three Poppet Pouches (pattern by Rosie Taylor) - they all nest in each other which is very cute. I added some mini eggs to the smallest pouch and this was a birthday present for my lovely friend, Rebecca.
Possibly my favourite smaller finish of the last few months is this mini quilt - made for my lovely friend Tina, this reflects her 100%. I love this so much I'm planning a mega project with the same alphabet pattern - one of those many-years-in-the-making hugely-over-ambitious projects!
Quilty friends are the best - so I had to mark Naomi's wedding - I had this ready for when I finally met her in person in March!
Remember that lovely friend Tina - well when she has an idea, there's no getting out of it... this cushion cover was made as a raffle prize (her idea, my execution) - The North East Modern Quilt Guild raffled this, a quilt and a pouch in aid of The Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine appeal and raised nearly £600. The cushion is made up of 4" Raspberry Kiss blocks and hand quilted.
I was quite attached to the colour scheme of the cushion, so I made myself a tub (another Rosie Taylor pattern) for all the scraps from my foundation piecing. I used 2" clams and Sue Daley's technique for sewing them.
It's felt nice to make and finish some little pieces these last few months - I've been working on some bigger projects too though!
