Even the weather seems to be summery today (British summery - with a bit of a breeze!). And as it is the first Saturday of the month it is time to share block 6 with you.
Working round my rainbow, June is a yellow block. I think yellow lightens and lifts a quilt, but because it is light it has meant that the embroidery is not as clear in this block as others, but I don't think I would have changed it.
You can find the embroidery pattern for the block here, some tips on preparing your embroidery here and the instructions for it here. The instructions for piecing the little blocks is here and the instructions for the appliqued circles are here. The information on how to put all of the elements together is in first January post here.
And as we are half way through, here is a picture of all my blocks so far (yep - I've finally finished March as well!). WHat's going in the middle, you may ask? Well. I have lots of sketches - I just need to draft it and stitch it up. I'm going to be working on that over the next few months, so watch this space!
Don't forget - I would love to see your versions of this block in the Flickr Group.
If you have any questions, just drop me an email! Happy sewing!
