Depends where you starting point is and where in Wales you want to go!
Sorry! It's St. Davids day today, the patron saint of Wales, so I thought a little Welsh joke was appropriate! You may, of course, disagree! St Davids Day means the 1st of March and time for a February review. I spent half of the month in Budapest where I got loads of hand sewing done, and another week of the month of the month off work when I got lots of machine sewing done!
I love this month's Lucky Stars block from Don't Call Me Betsy - maybe because of that gorgeous text print! I got the next pattern in my inbox today but I think I'll have to wait till the middle of the month to fit this in.
The Sisters' BOM continued with a nice straightforward block this month. The March blocks were out today and are very nice. Again, middle of the month to catch up on these.
Skill Builder BOM: two straightforward blocks this month. But I also started free motion quilting the first two blocks. I haven't finished yet because my machine had a bit of a moment, but I'm please with how far I've got.
My own BOM: I completed the February block and I've done the embroidery for the March block - need to finish that off today or tomorrow. You can find more information about this BOM, including patterns, here.
Dear Jane: Jane and I spent some real quality time together this month! I made four blocks last weekend in purple and turquoise, which saw me branch out into applique for the first time, and then another eight blocks (greens and yellows) on Wednesday, when my applique improved dramatically!
Emerald Challenge: last month I made the ET Phone Home block for the challenge and this month I followed it up with the Lone Star - both foundation pieced. The plan is some way of storing blocks - all will become clear - hopefully tomorrow!
Hexy Tablerunner: this is now appliqued to the background fabric and I'm trying to decide how to quilt it. If I'd thought about it before hand I might have quilted a grid on before I appliqued, but that ship has sailed now!
I had a couple of finishes this month too. First up was the Pembrokeshire quilt (inspired by another part of the coast). This was my take on the ferris wheel pattern for English paper piecing having seen some fantastic pictures on Flickr. I added in some embroidery and some hand quilting and completed it in Budapest, which was where I started it back in October.
My other finish was the Pac Mania Jelly Roll quilt. This has now gone to its new home and she loves it!
There has been a lot of pretty fabric this month, notably Colour Me Retro. We also went to the quilt show at Edinburgh and I bought lots of very pretty fat quarters!
The plus quilt was an impulse make. Our local patchwork shop got hold of Colour me Retro from Art Gallery and I couldn't resist. Of course, as soon as I had it, I had to do something with it and I'd been admiring plus quilts for a while. This piece is 20"x20" and I need to decide whether to make it into a cushion cover or a baby quilt.
Today I reorganized my fabric using a dresser we inherited at the end of last year! How pretty does it all look!
What for March? Another two weeks in Budapest - I have some Dear Jane EPP blocks prepared to take with me and this project.... another Ferris Wheel plan.
I will also be starting a couple of projects: today I cut into my Rock and Romance and I'm making Fireworks by Camille Roskelly, and tomorrow I am starting a Double Wedding Ring quilt in Poetica. My Art Gallery love affair continues! And I've signed up for Modern she Made swap round 3 and a new bee - Get Your Hex On - there are still some spaces left I think, so if you're interested, head over here and read more about it!
If you're still with me I have a few more pictures to show today - on our way back today we took a detour round Cambois (pronounced Camus), North Blyth and West Sleekburn - it's the industrial, more depressed side of our area but some of the views down the coast and over the port are beautiful.

Love all the dear jane blocks. It's making mevitch to start, but the way I'm going, I won't be starting until a full year after you. How many of these are you making by machine vs by hand?
