I will never ever make a resolution not to start new projects, because I know I would not be able to! And this year is a clear example of that lack of will power! I've already signed up for three Quilt-Alongs this year (you can find all of the buttons for them in my side bar): The hardest part of these quilt-alongs is choosing the fabric. I started with Design Seeds and picked these three photos:

Lucky Stars with Don't Call Me Betsy: I love foundation piecing and I love stars so this one is perfect and having already made up two of the patterns, it's totally worth the very small sign up fee! This is my fabric:
The practice block was released on Boxing Day and block 1 was released yesterday and I have finished them both! The pattern includes a 12" version and a 6" version and I've gone for the 6" version (nice and fiddly), which will result in a baby quilt.

The second bundle of fabric...
There are some greens hiding at the bottom of this pile |
...belongs to the Skill Builder QAL run by Alyssa at Pile O Fabric. No block yet.... I still need a background and I can't decide between a light grey, a dark grey or a creamy colour of some sort.
And there there is the Gen X Sisters BOM. I haven't decided on fabrics for this one yet.
And have you seen? I'm hosting my own BOM - here's block 1 - you can find more details here!
And this is what I'm starting to work on this evening. Wish me Luck!
And today I'm linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

like the news print fabric on the practice star block...
Holy Smokes a Dear Jane quilt. I love them but I just don't know that I have the patience to do it. I'm driving myself pretty mad with just the Farmer's Wife quilt.
Hello to a fellow Lucky Stars BOM quilter! I love the fabric choices and the first two blocks! I agree about the waste - I brought in a larger trash basket just for this project, ha!
I really like your color combinations for the bees. I also wish you luck on your Dear Jane quilt!
Love your first two stars! I joined too, and am keeping anything wider than 1 inch in the scraps, but what will I do with them all? Oh dear!
Wow!!! That's quite a list! Love the foundation pieced blocks.
Carol
You've started dear jane? Which colours did you settle on?
