EPP Geo Diamonds: Four months in

Back in March, I introduced you to a new project: Geo Diamons is an EPP project designed by @anomiealicec and run as a block of the month. All of the blocks are the same, and whilst I'm using slightly different fabrics, mine are all the same colour. I'm hoping this will result in some really good patterns with the repeats, but it also means it's a bit boring to share here every month. But we're up to month four now, which means I can start to show you how some of those repeats are going to look... here are a couple of different layouts! I'm really pleased with progress and aiming for this to be finished and on Josh's buggy next May.

EPP Blocks [May]

I've worked on quite a few EPP Blocks this month, all of which will one day become full quilts. Though I'm not committing to when that day will be! Quite a lot of those blocks use Tula Pink fabrics. I love the fabrics, and it seems a shame to whizz them under the machine, when I can enjoy sewing them by hand which takes a little longer. But when I'm using Tula Pink, I like to break up the busy-busy with some solids. I ordered some Kona coordinates to go with my hoard of Tabby Road. This is my latest block featuring Kona Sprout: But Tula has her own range of Designer Solids, which are lovely. I picked up a fat quarter bundle last year, but they weren't labelled. A friend and I have spent many a Monday evening trying to work out which was which! So when I restcoked my fq bundle from the lovely Saira at Olve and Flo Handcraft, I was delighted to find that she labelled the solids. No more frustrating Mondays for me! I have made myself a shade card. This lives in my...

Geo Diamonds EPP

Another new start.... whoops. And it's more EPP! The Geo Diamond pattern was designed by @naomialicec and she is running it as a block of the month, sending out pre-cut papers each month for a year. Each month's block is the same so I won't post about it on the blog every month. I've picked blue, green and orange as my colour scheme - I had to try really hard to avoid pink, but the finished quilt will be for Joshua eventually. The greens are both Kona: Pear and Leprechaun. The orange is Art Gallery (thanks, Naomi) and the blues will be from my stash - so far I've used Constellations by Lizzy House, Blossom (Riley Blake - my new favourite blender), and Sprinkle (Cotton and Steel), but these will change each month as I have a few others to swap in. The repeat patterns you can get with multiple blocks are brilliant, so go and check it out!
